I'm achieving my goals !

A pictorial update.....

First, a recap....my summer list....

Paint (actual paintings and latex around the house)

Read

Garden

Take day trips and one big trip

Eat

Sleep

Item number one....paint..

The beginnings of a painting of downtown Portland, Maine....Congress St.

A book I just started, to take along on the cruise.....

My gardens......one of them.....

I eat......coffee yogurt....my lunch of choice for over 30 years. (not much else, dieting for the cruise.)

And, of course, I sleep.

It's wonderful making a short list of things to do. Why didn't I think of this before??

Note: I can't get out of my head the comment that Empress Bee left on my last post....you know....the 'cake' part. Might have to add that to the list!

it's summer vacation honey, relax and enjoy, just do what you feel like doing. toss the list. have a little cake, you'll feel better.

I have been away from bloggie world. Where and when are you going on a cruise? I love cruises!

I love to see your paintings in progress (and finished). Your garden shed is just darling.

Looks like your list is going well - you can always amend it to add the cake thing. That's why paper is so long - it gives us room to add - so cake, here we come.

Glad your summer is going so well. Is everyone doing lists this summer?

Your painting is looking amazing. And that bed is soooooo inviting, I don't know how you ever leave it!

I just saw your post about excursions on your cruise. Have you checked out www.cruisecritic.com? It has forums where you can read about the different excursions and it also gives tips about saving money. Last year, I decided not to do an excursion at one port because there was a beach a few feet away. I also found a way to save over $200. for another excursion and on my cruise this year, I downloaded a few historical tour. That probably saved me $100.

Wow, E, I'm exhausted looking at how hard you are working on your vacation. It's fun seeing the new painting emerge. I'm thinking you don't need to be on a diet EVER because you are already pretty close to perfect and you don't have to take my word for it, just ask Mr. DEDS. So maybe some chocolate chips should be added to the coffee yogurt. The reading looks pretty spicy...The garden looks pretty grand.

Yes, I'm with Jo in her comment "Is everyone doing lists this summer?" Seeing your painting in progress is fascinating to me. You are so talented. You certainly have gotten a jump on your summer list. ~Lili

To hell with the list thing, baby!!
Enjoy your summer!! If anyone needs to make a list it's me and I ain't doin' it. Never have, never will. Just paint...that's what you were born to do!! And garden, of course!!! But please live dangerously, without the list!!

love you!!

Love the look of that painting at the stage it is in...very cool and can't wait to see it finished. I agree with the bee...eat cake!! Just do it!! Well only if you want to that is....didn't mean to sound demanding or anything! Yikes!
