He's drained....

"Mr. Doingstuff, we couldn't find the really big, gargantuan needle, so we're going to have to use this one. We'll just do it a couple of times."

Mr. Downeastdoingstuff is now one Liter lighter.

1 Liter = 1.05668821  Quarts (US)

That's how much fluid was sucked out of dear hubby's chest cavity.

1 Liter of stuff pressing against his delicate, pink little lung.

No wonder he couldn't breathe!!

Now he's probably going to start talking foolish again.

We can't have everything.

Yikes - that's a lot - no wonder he had trouble breathing - now he can breath and get better faster - yippeeee for big needles. (Did it hurt?)

Mention to him that "next time" he begins to feel not quite right... he could say so sooner.... maybe it will only be a pint... or maybe he could stave off major agony...or... well, .... oh, never mind.
I think it's a man thing.... don't complain til it's reeeellly bad. My motto is...why wait? If it's new or small it can be fixed quicker and easier... but, then...

Gotta love those big needles.....they do a great job. You and Debbie at Blueberry Plains, really have a hospital thing going on. Hope everyone is taking an easy breath now! Hugs, Kathleen

Oh God I am so sorry he has had to go through so much honey. Prayers are still going out for him and you too. We have had our fair share lately but nothing like what you are going through. Hang in there. BTW...your painting from the previous post is just beautiful! I am so jealous....I wish I could draw or paint...lucky you!

Okay, so now that you're completely drained you should have much more energy. How's that for one of life's sweet little contradictions. Glad you got through this one, guys. Baby steps...but perhaps now they will get a wee bit longer.

Yes, the contradiction is bitter sweet, as are many things in this life.

Good Gosh, Elenka... It's no wonder hubby was having trouble breathing... Hope that means that the worst is over. I know you hope that it is!!!! You all have had a rough time...

Maybe the Robins know something we don't. Maybe Spring and GOOD HEALTH will come early this year.
Hugs,
Betsy
