Get me the tissues......

I just watched a very depressing movie.....The Lovely Bones. It’s about a 14 year old girl that gets murdered and she tells the story about it as she is watching her family try to deal with the fact that she is missing and presumed dead. They never find the body, which was deposited in an old safe and dumped in the nearest sinkhole.

So I switched to America’s Next Top Model. This show is about several anorexic woman traipsing around trying to be America’s Next Top Model aka The Lovely Bones.

This did not improve my mood while I’m sitting on the couch just having devoured 3 huge slices of sour dough bread slathered with a mountain of margarine. This was my dessert following a previous dessert which consisted of two cookies left over from the wedding. My days of applying for America’s Next Top Model are now officially over before they started. I might have Lovely Bones, but you can’t see any sign of them.

So I switch to Man Vs Food. If you’ve never seen this show it’s time you should. Watching a man consume massive amounts of food at one sitting makes you feel like you are Jenny Craig’s dietian. Makes you feel like, heck, I am in total control of what I eat. Where's that Top Model application?

Right now he’s eating a cheeseburger(s) that is 12 inches high. (They had to put a skewer in it to keep it from keeling over.)

If he can eat it under 20 minutes, he doesn’t have to pay the $20 for the foot tall burger. What a way to save a buck.

Finally, flipping around the channels with the world's worst designed remote control, (thank you Time Warner) I find Biography. Now I’m OK. I'm really OK. It’s about ABBA.

Mamma Mia.

How many times have you watched Mamma Mia?
Me? I can't count that high.

I read the book The Lovely Bones and really liked it; I had no desire to see the movie, however, as I couldn't imagine that story as a film.
Oh, don't ever doubt that your days are over as The Next Top Model! You're still a contender!

It's true that you are still a contender for The Top Model thing. Read The Lovely Bones...found the last part of it very weird and out of sync with the rest of the book...I wonder how they handled that in the movie. As for these little snacks you've been having...you live in Maine, it's coming on winter, you need to pack a few extra calories on those lovely bones of yours or you'll freeze your little fanny off. As for watching the guy stuff his face, I don't think I'll be shoehorning time in my schedule for that one. Sorry.

Oh my freaking God Elenka I laughed so hard I woke up my husband!! You are hilarious woman! Ok...first of all we watched The Lovely Bones not too long ago. That is 2 or 2 1/2 hours of our life we will never get back. We were sooooo disappointed with that movie!! Next....America's Next top model...totally agree...what the hell is going on in this country? Occasionally while flipping through the channels, I will come across a show that is similar to this....it's so degrading. These women are so sick....Ellen's "wife" spoke about this recently. She wrote a book and mentions only eating 300 calories a day and some of that is gum! You are too funny Elenka! You cannot see any sign of my Unlovely bones either my friend!

I have NEVER seen Mama Mia....Not my kind of movie. I like drama and action type movies. Oh well. I remember back in 1976, CB radio was really BIG. My handle (name) was Dancing Queen................too funny.

I so rarely watch tv that I tell friends I really am paying $100 a month for internet service, lol.

But musicals, even Disney, always draw me in...
