Dang, it's hot.....

I’ve been in school two days. No kids yet, they don’t start laboring until after Labor Day.

And it’s been 195 degrees both days.

213 degrees up on the second floor where my room is.

In Maine.

Why, Florida must be in the 300’s I would guess.

Is this Global Warming?

Is this like that Twilight Zone episode where the sun is cascading toward the Earth and all the crayons and oil paintings are melting?

Is this what it’s like in a Sweat Lodge, whatever that is?

I think it is.

Time for another Sapphire-tini.......

Ahhhh.

Sapphire-Tini

1/2 oz. Blue Curacao

3/4 oz Bacardi Coco Rum

3/4 oz Banana Liqueur

2 oz Pineapple Juice

Fill Cocktail shaker with ice. Pour all ingredients into cocktail shaker. Shake and strain into a chilled Blue Gemtini glass.

Enjoy!

Sounds delicious...the drink, not the 213 degree classroom! Hopefully things will get cooler!
But not too cool, not ready for winter yet!

looks like Earl is heading your way in a few days so you might get a cool down. Way to stay hydrated!

Oh I am soooo there with ya! It is 10:00 at night and I am closed into my little living room with my freak of a Jack Russell and hot! Why am I hot when the air is running outside this room and the rest of the house is cool? Because our friend David is here doing carpentry work at this hour of the night and the nail gun scares the crap out of Obie! David comes when he can and he is working here after putting in an 8 hour day on a hot roof already! He's a friend and we barter with him. There is a heavy layer of white dust on everything in my kitchen and I won't get to bed until late tonight! Thank goodness for air conditioning! That Sapphire-tini looks delicious! Problem is....I'd probably drink 15 of them if I could! I quit drinking 6 years ago. I'm allergic to the stuff. I do like my southern sweet tea though....it sure hits the spot. I am so sorry you have to sit in those classrooms with those temps...that's ridiculous! I see they let some kids go home early because of the heat....where they had already started school! Crazy stuff huh? Now we have a mild hurricane heading our way! Batten down the hatches!!...pick up anything that will fly out of your yard!! God! Just when it begins to cool off a bit and I would like to spend some time outside....we get that weather!! Oh well...it's Maine after all isn't it? Stay cool my friend.

Cool it down before we get to NH next w/e...if we can get the engine fixed:(

Waiting is no fun, but neither is wilting. Good luck with that one...

Now that blue thing should do tha trick!!! Looks yummy!
I am so jealous that you all don't srt school until after Labor Day! When do you all get out for the summer. I may have to move back up the East Coast. It is continually calling my name anyway! I'm a Navy brat from VA originally.
Can't believe it, but we woke up to cool weather this morn! OMG! Thought I was dreamin!

Tara - some of us started school on Thursday, the 26th - don't be too envious!!! 95 degrees outside . . . and no air conditioning on the inside!!
