Lobsta !

Lobster is a treat for most folks. But do you ever wonder about the first person ever to eat a lobster?? If you were the first person that came across that thing pictured above, would you think...."yummm! dinner!"

Not me.

That thing is as close to a monster as anything I've ever seen.

That being said, I DO eat lobster.

We mostly cook it at home. I've documented the event for you.

Only one minute left!

Frank......use sunscreen next time.

Add some corn to the menu.....

Melt some butter.....healthy butter.....if there is such a thing.

Yummmmmmmmmmmmm! Another monster conquered.

Ok...now if I actually saw a lobster that looked like the one in the first picture I think I would never eat another one!! That DOES look like a monster! Some sort of prehistoric lobster of sorts? Aren't we lucky we can get lobster whenever we want up heya in Maine!

You're having entirely too much fun I see! That top one is very strange though...those teeny, tiny little claws are pathetic, not at all like our Homarus americanus monstah!

Cute post today... I have had lobster once--and that was when I was visiting in New England. I'll never forget the sound of the lobster when they were put in that boiling water... Poor things.. BUT--I enjoyed the flavor...

Hugs,
Betsy

I have never eaten lobster....just not much of a seafood person, I guess. I do wonder about the eternal question surronding them though.......do they feel the pain when they are boiled alive? Hmmmm. They are really weird looking, but then so are crabs, clams, and octupus. Why are people eating these sea monsters? :) Hugs, Kathleen

Too funny! I'm really hungry now, although I'll take a Dungeness Crab over lobster any day.

New Year's Eve...snowing like crazy outside, dressed in comfortable clothes, fire in fireplace, TV tuned in to watch the ball drop in New York, candles lit, glasses of wine, and LOBSTER..that's my idea of a perfect evening.

You're in Florida! My dad saw a launch a few months ago. He's still talking about it! Was it fantastic? Did you take lots of photographs? Oh, man, how lucky are you!

I followed you over from Matt's blog, which you followed from Miss Bee's. I'm from New England, although I live is south Georgia now. I'm not a lobsah fan myself, although my mother would pretty much live on it if it weren't so expensive and bad for you!

Poor Frank... he should have used sunscrean!
