Here is another painting in my 'Road' series. It is Congress Street in Portland, Maine. (Intersection of Bramhall Street and Congress Street, heading out of town)
My Gawd, I LOVE how you did the lights, all of them. Headlights, traffic lights, street lights. At first I thought I saw movement in the traffic, but then I realized it was your falling snow graphic! ~Lili
You are wonderful!! I know that gray house with the maroon painted foundation!! I just can't picture exactly where it is on Congress. Next time I go to town i will be looking for it though! Fabulous job...you are so freaking talented....I am so envious....in a good way though.:)
OMG How many times have I been on this street, right there, when I worked at Mercy Hospital. I love the headlights and traffic light, and don't know how you did that? Beautiful painting, I love it.
And Hey what is this??????? Are you like getting a huge snow dump tomorrow????????? Stay safe and warm.
Now that is SO clever! Love the lights and reflections. Thanks for your comment. In answer to your question South Australia where I live is a a long way from the parts of Queensland under water, but those south of Queensland's border,in upper New South Wales are now being affected also. These areas are unimaginably vast.Thank you for your interest and concern.
As always, your talent is so immense and as always, it makes me incredibly homesick. What I wouldn't give for one of your paintings...especially of one of my beloved lighthouses.
i could tell you were from maine from your title. my mom's ancestors are all from vermont. i love your header! it makes me want to go back in time and live in the day when my grandparents were alive. love the vermont light on your side bar...so good. will look forward in following you! i am not an artist but you will like my kitties, especially my most recent post. i have 9 perfect purry babies!
I so look forward to seeing your paintings on your blog. I love your work...Balisha

ReplyDeleteStunning!
ReplyDeleteNo wonder I recognized the view - only you made it even nicer. Today you could just leave the canvas blank to capture all the snow.
ReplyDelete*sigh*
