In May, just when spring bulbs and wildflowers are at their peak, this Creeping Phlox spreads out a carpet of deep, bluish purple.
'Sherwood Purple' creeps on my wet, stone wall this 17th of the month, bringing an excitement to my soul that nothing in winter has been able to do.
(Except for maybe Mr. Downeastdoingstuff....)
I love spring.

ReplyDeleteLovely stones and soft pastel flowers...watching the flowers cover the stones...a sure sign that life abounds!
ReplyDeleteI shot this in the rain, yesterday too, but, alas not the close-up. You GOT it! I guess you are...' Ready for your close-up, Mr. DeMille. Ha!
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful...my absolute favorite color too. Spring is Maine is so special...we have all waited patiently through the long winter for these beautiful awakenings. That's what makes it so special I think. I love coming here...It feels like home.:)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blooms! Spring is a glorious thing, isn't it. I just got caught up on your blog, and wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your portraits of your son. You can see his personality in the pictures...what a talented mom he has!
