Yesterday was Birdman's birthday.
Why didn't I do a post yesterday, you ask??
I was looking for a photo, specifically in his baby book....which I couldn't find.
So I waited til we went out to dinner to get some photo material.
Coming home with a full tummy, late, I didn't post.
This morning....I walked into the living room and there on the window seat was his baby book...along with my baby book and our son's baby book. They were not on the shelf where they should be....where I looked yesterday....but there they were...in full sight.
sigh....
I'm getting old.
Anyway, my Birdman is the joy of my life. My best bud. I hope he had a great birthday....ahem....
yesterday.
So here was our dinner experience.
We got there a little early, we went to the bar for a drink. We both had a Sangria.
Our table for dinner was at a window. It's called On The Marsh because they are on a marsh.
Our window view of their garden....
We each had a glass of wine and ordered their mussels. I forgot to take a photo of the mussels, so Birdman showed me some other ones.
Impressive.

I had lobster.....

Perhaps not quite as spectacular as your cooking but I'm certain it was a delicious day in every way.
Yeah, it was expensive, but I bought a $75 voucher for $35 at the restaurant on Living Social, we we actually saved $40 on the deal.
No photos of the dessert? You obviously are drawn to the high class restaurants..I tend to find cheap eats...my budget couldn't take On the Marsh!
The steak looked tempting; mussels weren't bad either!
It was quite a fare. It was quite a night. Don't get the wrong idea. On special occasions, like this, we do splurge, but for the most part Elenka is a fabulous cook. Why venture far from her table. And this was a restaurant that she has had her eye on for sometime now. The pictures were not deceiving... a delicious repast and well worth the trip to Kennebunkport. Thanks, pal.
A wonderful night all around - the food looked scrumptious! Happy Yesterbirthday!!!
It is birthday SEASON. Happy, happy birthday, Birdman! That was quite a nice celebration. Yum! Pardon me while I wipe off some drool...
Happeeeee (late) birthday, Birdman, who has a lurvely, loverly wife.
Everything looks so delicious and it sounds like you got a great deal with that voucher!
Happy birthday to your birdman - sounds like a magical evening. I haven't heard of that restaurant but now I want to check it out.
Thanks for letting us in on the birthday celebration. Love the photos of dinner and the story about the baby book!
Sounds like you had fun, but then again you two always have fun. That sounds like some nice restaurant! ~Lili
