I'm not too good at this new camera stuff. When I read directions, they should say, "press button to turn on......press same button to turn off....and it will turn off......if you are lucky."
Right now, Mr. Downeastdoingstuff and I are having a cosmopolitan on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. HE makes the best. (we use 'light' cranberry juice.) (Makes it much healthier.)
So, I did manage to load some photos. Finally, through some technical 'miracle'. (Right? CAM?) About 4,000 photos of Junior Downeastdoingstuff, and a couple of the Disneyworld castle. Since Junior doesn't want his mug on this blog, you are looking at Cinderella's castle.
He and I had the BEST time. It IS the "happiest place in the world." I JUST LOVE IT THERE.
I want to live there. Heck, I'll even live in the Haunted Mansion, I don't care.
(Actually, truth be told, I wouldn't want to live in the friggin' tea-cups. Vertigo issues.)
Junior loves it there, too.
Mr. Downeast........ stayed home with his mother/father in-law. (He doesn't quite have the stamina needed, yet, to keep up with Junior and me. Actually, he never will. We are nuts when we get there, what with that Fast Pass stuff and all.)
Lord Bless Him.
Actually, with 92 degree temps, a Corona or two at the ready, he claimed to be in his own 'Magic Kingdom'.
Which is usually where you can find him.
Was this Junior's first time in Walt's World? I could live in the little tea cups. It's pretty much what my world feels like most of the time anyway.
ReplyDeleteNo, it was Junior's, probably 15th time there, at least.
ReplyDeleteStarted in kindergarten.
Love that magical kingdom - or any magical kingdom. LOL
ReplyDeleteI remember my magical visit there over thirty years ago, and swinging around in those tea cups with my fellow Aussie student teachers before we headed over to prac teach in Wisconsin. Thanks for your recent visit and comment on my blog. Sounds like you are enjoying teaching . Unlike you, I don't think I have the energy to front up for the 40 year teaching mark, or even the vast expanse of Disneyland again for that matter. Well done!! All sounds great fun Elenka.
ReplyDeleteI think everybody has their own "magical kingdom". Mine will be Beverly Beach RV resort at Flaggler Beach on the Gold Coast. July/August! C'mon down Elenka, I'm only a hop, skip, and a jump from Disney...and hey bring Junior!

From cosmopolitans to coronas, sounds pretty magical to me! I can so relate to the teacup comment. Sounds like a good time was had by all. Now get ready for the 90 degree heat headed our way too! ~Lili
ReplyDeleteI'll stay home with Mister; put my feet up on a garden table .. and clink beer bottles .... more my speed...and so much more relaxing and quiet..... I've never been to the 'magical place'...and have absolutely no desire to go...
ReplyDeleteThere is no place like Disney. Gotta love it. Of course, what I really like is going to Epcot, and eating my way around the world. Can you tell I am trying to lose weight? Love eating in Morocco, it is the best. However, tea-time in England isn't bad either. Love your pics,
ReplyDeleteHugs, Kathleen
I am not a Disney gal but I can't wait to go to Universal and see the Harry Potter park! I am with Kathleen - love eating in Morocco when I do go to Disney. Sounds like a great trip!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good time was had by all. I think that I'm with Mr. Downeaster on this one. We'll let you kids go and have fun.

Wow...so cool you went there with Junior. I remember the "rumor?" about Walt Disney years ago...the one where they said he used to be a recreational LSD user and that is where he came up with all of those cartoon characters!? I still wonder about it! I have been to DisneyLand in Anaheim, Ca....but never Disneyworld....the mother of the Disney's! How fun! I love what you said at the end about Mr. Downeastdoingstuff being in his own Magic Kingdom!...hilarious! The two of you have such a great sense of humor...I love it.
