why? WHY?? ....because of THIS !!!!
Here we go again...more white stuff.
One foot of it and H-E-A-V-Y !!! Like cement.
Even the snowblower, the one my fingers never touch, was having an extremely difficult time of it. Snowblowers don't like blowing cement.
But it was beautiful, nevertheless, as you can see.
But even the most beautiful rose has it's thorns. We lost power 17 hours ago and counting.
160,000 customers without power at the moment. (Update: 20 hours 14 minutes) (Another update: 29 1/2 hours and no power)
THIS:
is what's keeping us semi-sane. (Along with the wood stove and a BOTTLE of wine....)
God bless generators.
Looks cold and crunchy. But the trees, lovely. IKEA sells a tasy glogg this time of year that would warm the cockles, I bet...
ReplyDeleteGood grief that looks cold... All quite mild here in 'sunny' WsM...
ReplyDeleteMaine, I don't know it at all other than it feeling familiar because of books by John Irving! I'll keep an eye on your blog to see more.
Cheers
M
looks like more cold than I could handle...pics are really pretty though! Stay safe and keep warm...
ReplyDeleteoh, noooo... you came home for this?... My husband is in Palm Springs and he will also come home to new snow... and -17C....but not quite as much as you have there.....
ReplyDeleteWow...pics are beautiful, but I know it gets tiresome. We don't have to deal with any of that down here in NE Texas. I'm not trying to rub it in, but I am still admiring my tulips I picked up this weekend. Wish I could send you some! Hang on...spring is just around the corner.
ReplyDeleteMother Nature is just welcoming you home from sunny Florida! I'm with you on the generator fan club - they are a lifesaver!
ReplyDeletePlease keep the snow up there! Fantastic pics :)
ReplyDeleteHop on over to my blog...I have you some tulips. :-)
ReplyDeleteOhhhh... I feel for you! Right before Christmas, we lost power for 4 days in minus zero weather...we had to sleep on the floor of a neighbors so we didn't freeze to death! I am praying that this ends soon for you! So glad you guys have a generator...hang in there!!
